Audio Recorder Platinum

The first thing you need to know is that software developer EZ SoftMagic has two Audio Recorder versions to offer. First there’s Audio Recorder Pro, an application that we’ve covered here on FindMySoft a short time ago. Audio Recorder Pro is an easy to use application that records (as MP3, OGG, or WAV) every sound that goes through the computer’s sound card. The application comes with a built-in timer that you can use to schedule recordings and a Voice Activation feature (the app will start recording only when it detects a noise).

Then there’s Audio Recorder Platinum, the more advanced version of Audio Recorder Pro. The functionality Audio Recorder Pro has to offer is included in the Platinum version, alongside these extra bits and pieces:

- Audio Recorder Platinum features to recording modes: Normal Record Mode and EZ All-Record Mode. Normal Record Mode records sound through the sound card, just like Audio Recorder Pro does. The EZ All-Record Mode records audio in real-time through a virtual audio driver and without quality loss. Thanks to EZ All-Record Mode you can record audio even if you do not have a sound card.
- Audio Recorder Platinum can record Skype calls (VoIP calls) and Messenger audio (instant messaging audio).
- Support is offered for real-time filters and Automatic Gain Control (AGC).
- Audio Recorder Platinum provides support for multiple sound cards.

Before you go get Audio Recorder Platinum and put it to the test, there are a few technical details you may want to know about. The following technical details:

Download – the download weighs in at 2.1MB, which is good news. It means the download will complete in no time at all, even if you are on a less than spectacular internet connection. To my mind, not having to wait a long time for a download to complete is always nice.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, Audio Recorder Platinum provides support for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. The developer recommends you use Audio Recorder Platinum on Windows XP.
Limitations – Audio Recorder Platinum is only free to try. This means you can use the application free of charge only for a trial period of 15 days.
